Whispering Pines churches mourn loss of two of their pastors

WEIPPE, ID- It is with great sadness that we report from our north central Idaho panhandle association, Whispering Pines, that two of our beloved pastors have gone home to the Lord within ten days of one another.  Please pray for Whispering Pines Association leadership, Associational Director of Missions Lee Mowery (recovering from COVID-19 and ministers to both churches), and the pastors in the other churches in that region.  Whispering Pines is a rural association with 10 churches.  Pastor Bill Horn was a long time pastor of 29 years at the oldest SBC church in Idaho, started in 1887 on Christmas Day by Rev J.B. York in Clearwater, ID.  Pastor David Hunt had been pastor of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Kamiah, ID for almost eight years.
