Boise, ID – Now that the Christmas joy of spending time with the family in Oklahoma as refreshed my soul, we are ready for a great year serving students at campuses across the Treasure Valley. We ended the semester with a Christmas carol night at College of Western Idaho and an intense gingerbread house decorating contest. After finals finished, a group of student met to help plan out the spring 2024 semester. My heart is so excited to hear where they want to focus and new areas they want to grow in or put themselves out of their comfort zone. Areas of focus include fun community building (a must in college), but where things changed was the inclusion of training. They all planed to spend an extra day a month to learn more about ways to share their faith, staying in hard conversations, to practice ways to bring their faith into these topics, and where they wanted FCM Bible study nights to go. These are 19-23 year old kids with many other options on how to spend their time, But this is what they did on a Monday afternoon in a McDonalds lobby on their Christmas break. I am so inspired by their motivation and passion for the gospel. Continue to pray for their boldness on campus, time management, priorities, and relationships as they prepare to take on the next semester. I am praying God-sized dreams for these students.
As Christmas has passed and the new year is upon us, I pray you are seeing the love of God in your life and have opportunities to share it with those around you in 2024.
As always, I’ll be excited to share what God is doing in the lives of FCM students and join you in praying for the college campus. Thank you for being part of all the God stories from 2023.
Lastly, if you would like to give financially to Foundation College Ministry to support the work we do to serve BSU, CWI, and NWNU here in the Treasure Valley, please visit our giving page at www.foundationcm.org/give – Thank you. – Moran Brendle, FCM Director
