“Jesus” was the focus of Sonfest 2021
OGDEN, UT – After having to go online for Digital Youth Camp in 2020, Sonfest 2021 was back to being LIVE and in person. Nearly 250 youth and their leaders from many churches across Idaho and Utah came to Eccles Conference Center in Ogden, UT for three sessions of dynamic worship and challenging messages. They spent Saturday afternoon at Lagoon where their bright red shirts presented a clear gospel message to everyone who would see, ask, and listen.
The theme was “JESUS: No Other Name” taken from Acts 4:12, where the apostles declared that “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.” Sonfest 2021 stayed true to that theme as students and leaders where challenged to be like Christ every day of their lives and to share their faith with their friends and classmates. Students and leaders where led in worship by Daniel Savage and the Redemption Church worship team from Ogden. Runks Runkles from Texas was the guest speaker and he used his platform to present students with moving messages and heartfelt testimony. His messages centered on scripture from Philippians and Acts.
As a result of these three sessions, a total of twelve students made their first time profession of faith in Christ, four students recommitted their lives to Christ, and one student felt a call into vocational Christian ministry. All students who made decisions were accompanied by their leaders and appropriate discipleship materials and/or bibles were provided as needed.
