2021 Women’s Conference prior to UISBC Annual Meeting

by Mary McFarling

MERIDIAN, ID – The annual women’s conference in conjunction with the UISBC Annual meeting is coming in just a little over a week! We will focus on praying for needs around the world and specifically recent events: Medical workers, refugees, underground church, Muslim women and earthquake relief in Haiti. You will learn how to pray and minister more effectively by hearing from some of our workers on the field. and learn by experiencing some of what refugees and those affected by natural disasters face through a simple but powerful simulation.

The conference begins at 2:30 and, if you can, you’re encouraged to come at 1:30 to spend a time of refreshing your personal relationship with God as you visit the prayer stations in the “Soul Spa”.

I was recently asked to explain “Experiential Learning” and what we mean by that term. It’s learning by experiencing. Instead of being told about what refugees face, a simple exercise will help us experience some of what refugees go through. We’ll also hear directly (through video) from Lorna Bius in Clarkston, GA and Janis Walton serving in Haiti to help us know more about ministering with refugees and victims of natural disasters.

More information can be found on our website, https://uisbc.org/annual-convention/womens-conference/

Pre-Registration for the women’s conference is not required but is greatly appreciated to help us prepare.
