Collegiate Week at Falls Creek challenged students and leaders

by Morgan Brendle

BOISE, ID- Before all the on campus welcome events happen, there is a special week called Collegiate Week at Falls Creek that must make its appearance. This year we shared a cabin with East Central University from Ada, OK. From the first night it was late night talks and games in the cabin. Then in the morning as we gathered for breakfast, we have a cabin devotion time with students from each group leading. To stand back and take the picture while listening to a student share what God has been teaching them lately about knowing and seeing His love and mercy in scripture to remembering he is a God who keeps his promises as seen in the Old and New Testament. Then in the evening hearing them share about the different breakouts and what from the main session stood out as those conversations grew into more than just a recap. Each student walked away with something personal to take through to the fall semester.

It was also great to see Aaron, one of our student leaders, show our students around Falls Creek and share about his summers working on staff. Getting to see camp through his eyes made them excited to jump feet first into each day.

As the semester kicked off earlier this month, we are so excited about what God has in store through our campus ministry.  Please pray for Christian students at Boise State and College of Western Idaho, as well as, college students across Utah and Idaho who will be seeking opportunities to share their faith with their friends and classmates.

PS- A great way to support College Ministry on Utah and Idaho campuses is to give to the State Mission Offering. Nearly 100% of our entire Collegiate Ministry budget is funded through SMO. These students need your support.
